I was having some stomach issues earlier this year, but taking FloGen3 (yogurt in a pill) daily helped that all go away.  I thought this was all behind me.

Waah!  I have a sinus infection that is basically drying up everything is my head much worse and causing drainage into my stomach makin me feel somewhat nauseaous.  Anyway, dr puts me on generic Augmentin and I am fine one day on it. ( I take it with food as directed.) Next day I take a pill in the morning, came home from work, didn't eat yet and about 7pm started getting the stomach cramps again. Called the dr who had me take the antidiarreal med to stop the cramping and now I am off the Augmentin. I thought the daily FloGen3 put good bacteria back in my tummy again! Why?
I see him this Wednesday for a physical and I wonder what the heck he is going to give me for this sinus infection before it gets really bad and I have to stay home from work.

I was going to travel some as I scheduled Thurs/Fri for some vacation time. BUT I got sick right prior to scheduling the hotel room, etc.  :'( >:(   So I don't know what the heck to do as nobody wants to travel sick!  I'm tring to eat "normal" today so far so good - other than the headache, etc. etc.      I am just sooo ticked that this had to come up again when I thought I was past this!

I am curious what the drs have done for any of you that has/had problems like I seem to be having with antibiotics  Thanks!

Nothing would ever help me if I was on antibiotics..sounds like you have alot of yeast overgrowth possibly?..I wish a simple
activita would do it for me. I take around 5 high-quality probiotics everyday, in addition of liquid nystatin and diflucan everyday for the last 3 years..I do have extreme yeast issues though.

You might want to ask for another anti if possible. My ENT always recommended Onmicef, and it was much better on the tummy.
I cant take an anti's unless I know for fact I have an infection for a fact...culture or labs. Sinuses can harbor yeast as well...

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Pisces,
I also have issues with yeast, maybe try in addition to the probiotics, reducing the amount sugars ( carbohydrates ) in your diet. And dont eat anything with yeast, reading some labels for me was very eye opening as far as yeast being an ingredient. Who knew yeast was an ingredient in some seasonings!

A lot of B vitamins are made with Brewers Yeast. I noticed that the when I take B supplements made with Brewers Yeast, I develop problems with yeast. I will throw the bottle out and try a different one. I find the the cheaper brands are usually made from active Brewers Yeast cultures. If you are having problems with yeast, this may be the cause.

Since I am on so many antibiotics and also due to the fact that I have some GI issues, I have taken a quality probiotic that I buy at the health food store for quite a while now. I believe it has helped me and I am better off for taking it!

I have found VSL#3 to be a very good probiotic, as well as Theralac.

Also..eliminate all sugars and sugar alchohols... and of course, white foods.
