I have a notebook that I write down all the links that I find in magazines, etc. I was going through my book and decided to try one. GOLLY GEE!!! What have I been missing. This site is just great. Fun and down to earth and lots of things to look at and lots of recipes and a great recipe for iced coffee to boot!!

P.S. I went back to the site and spent a little more time and I am just floored. There is so much good info on this site it is unbelieveable. I can't believe she has time to do all this. I think she has help!!!

Irish, Now have put it in my favorites...

What are you doing up at this time of night as I just heard the grandfather clock in the hall strike midnight...?   ;)

Love your posts... They are so informative.  Will check out the above new one tomorrow. ;)

If you cannot sleep, no place like SW where there's always some activity: right!  ;D

I am a night owl. I have been all my life and when I got really sick it got worse.

Also, when I am having really bad issues and need to irrigate my nose and sinuses at 2 - 3 Am/whatever, I can't lie down for about an hour as the water will drain too deep in the sinuses. So, usually be then I am too tired to read so will occasionally go on the internet and kill some time. Irish ;D

I have also continued to notice that my insomnia still gets worse when my autoimmune issues are worse. For years I told the docs that if you found out what was wrong and fixed it I would sleep better. I swear that when my autoimmune system is revved up the adrenal increases and I am more hyper. Sort of like when the moon is full I guess. Is there anybody else that is affected by the full moon like I am?? Irish

irish,

I meant to tell you when I saw your post about this site, I went to check it out and was there for an hour and a half!  ;) It is very interesting...lots of good stuff there.

I'm also up late and sometimes all night-darn insomnia...at least I have no schedule to go by most days, so it's "all good." I sort of enjoy my quiet time alone at night.  But that's when I can get lost reading online for a long time, or as long as my eyes hold out.
Thanks for the info. about the site.

Thanks Irish, I had heard of this cook book from various friends. But this web site looks like a lot of fun.

Guess what, irish?

I just saw an ad this evening about The Pioneer Woman beginning her own show on The Food Network!  :D  It starts Aug. 27 @ 11:30 a.m.  Thought you'd love to hear...and some of the rest of us who really like her website might like to check out the show.  Hope the show is as much fun as her site.

Meld, Thank you for the info about the new show on Food Network. That girl has so much energy and just so much stuff going on in her head. I am not surprised that TY grabbed her up. Should be interesting.

Yes, the night owl did surface this last week. I had such a bad nigh a couple nights ago and went to the kitchen and saw the moonlight reflecting off one of the sheds in the yard. Well of course, I says to myself, the moon is full. I should have known. It was also rainy and windy.

Actually I do have the occasional all nighter and I just hate it. I get overtired then and anxious because I am not sleeping. Around 5-6AM I just say to heck with it and go turn on the TV and see what the world it going to do to us today.

I have had the worst insomnia all summer and my myasthenia is worse (for those of you with myasthenia) and I know it is from the hot, humid weather. I can't wait for the temp to go down into the low 70's and down to 50 and will hope for a great fall. Irish ;D
