I had bloodwork taken on thursday at the PCP office. Today I went to have an ultrasound or sonogram of my stomach, liver / pancreas...I have to go see the PCP on wednesday, to see what these tests results are... I'm on Omneprazole since last thursday I thnk,  i take two a day, and Cholestyramine. Well I'm guessing I'll be on those from now on..
I still feel an annoying dull pain in the center of my stomach right bellow the rib cage. It gets worse dpeending on what I eat, and is more pronounced when I wake up, no back pains...I'm just hoping is not pancreattitis... In any case, I worry so much about everything...my anxiety level is about to skyrocket ...I didn't know that the lack of a gallblader would lead to more problems.

Hi Monica,

I think waiting for test results can be one of the most anxiety-ridden times we can endure. I just seems natural for many of us to let our minds go off on a tangent about the worst possible scenario.

I'm sorry to hear you're having such pain, and I apologize that I just saw your post.  Is this the Wed. that you saw the PCP?  May I ask if they discussed any results?
I hope that the outcome is much, much less scary than what you fear, and that you can get relief from your pain.

Please keep us updated, and know that we are thinking of you.  ;)

Hi Skygirl,

Any word on the tests?  Keeping my fingers crossed that everything turns out well.

really?

its amazing that they just go for the gallbladder when in fact the pancreas might be the souce of the problem, have you had a amylase and lipase panel done, if thre elevated above normal for extended periods,, it may be a sign of AIP, autoimmune pancreatitis , not to say the gall bladder might not be diseased , it can also get involved in the autoimmune process,, thre trying to sort mine out now, only after I tossed out so many complaints that they had to do something

I have tons of stomach issues too. I hope they are at least able to identify what the source of yours are. Not knowing is sometimes the hardest part. Please let us know what the test results say.
