I found this forum on Google. I found out I have Sjogren's oh, about 9 months ago I think. I just thought I was supposed to drink as much as I do. My first rummy was really bad. I go to a new one 2/18. I'm also bipolar and take lithium.  So between the fatigue of Sjogren's then my thyoid gives out because of the lithium. Thank God my family doctor found it. I missed a lot of work and money. I'm lucky, though, with Sjogren's I have dry mouth, now my eye doctor says I have dry eyes but they don't bother me much. Now I can't feel my feet, but I've been check several times for diabietes (spelled wrong) and I don't have it. So I think it's the Sojren's.
Well, enough of me and my crying. I'm glad to be here and really love to share. Thanks for listening.

Hi owllover  :)

Welcome to Sjogren's world. It's not at all unusual to have thyroid problems alongside Sjogren's - even without lithium! Unfortunately autoimmune diseases often seem to travel in packs!

I hope you find the forum useful. It's certainly friendly and supportive.  :)

Take care - Scottie  :)

Welcome Owllover99. This is a good place to come and vent.

One summer I made friends with an Eagle Owl. (I have her potty training picture to prove it) She was very upset when I had to leave. I got to see her a few years later and she would have nothing to do with me. From talking with her trainer she had been a pain in the butt since I left.

Sorry I got side tracked. Some of us have posted what we are taking in our signature to help others learn what drugs to search for.

Hi Owl Lover,

Let me also welcome you to the SJS World and family too! :D

This is a great place to hang out and learn, and for people who have rheumys like mine (the very quiet kind), there are scads of topics and foot hills of information available by using the search engine in the upper left hand side of this page.

Take care of yourself and stay warm and safe -

Hi owllover - welcome.

Do you use any type of eye drops?  Many times once we start using products for our Sjogren's, we then realize how dry we really are.  Some times, we get so use to the dryness and think this is normal, until we add drops, etc. and find such relief from the dryness.

There are many OTC products that help with our dry mouth, dry eyes, dry skin, etc.  It's all a personal preference as to which products help.

I hope you find this site helpful to you on your Sjogren's journey.

We have several owls in our neighborhood - you can hear them some times.  I always like to stop and look at them when I'm driving down the road.
