Cystometry+Results.

Hi everyone,

I had my Cystometry today.
Wasn't too pleasant and it did hurt a bit when they inserted the catheter.
But once it was in, it was ok.

I felt pressure on my bladder quite fast, when they were starting to fill it.
Same with the mid stage of the urge to urinate.
And I told him my bladder felt full pretty quickly.

Only a matter of minutes, and he said by some people it often takes 10 minutes before they start to feel the pressure etc of the water filling inside.

Well, that went all ok.
But the urinating it back out, was not so nice.
That's where my issues were just obvious;

I kept relaxing, open up-close up again.
Or ese I would 'push' to try and get it out, which is really bad and makes it even hard to do it.

So the diagram on the computer kept going up and downhil.
While he said it should be more like a hill kind of.

So it wasn't too good and I couldn't well to get the water back out of me.
I wasn't nervous or anything, he said that too+I was able to relax myself but it kept going the same way.
He said it's nothing  I can help+it's nothing like mentally either.

The doctor came in afterwards, very nice guy.
He went to check etc told me to cough and such.

I had to do the filling up bladder and peeing it back out twice.
Then there was enough evidence.

It's something with my rectum muscle and not the bladder muscle or so.
And apparently it's something neurologically the Prof said.
I was going to ask if it could be that, but he mentioned it before me!

I was assuming it would be that, and I guess I was right.
He asked the name of my Neuro + when I'd go see her and such.

He said he doesn't really want to put me on any pills at the moment ,as I take so many already.
And he precscribed sessions of bladder phyiscal therapy.
Should make it easier for me be able and urinate hopefully etc/bladderpain

He told me to see him back in three months and that I'd need to frequently come for check-ups too.
So I guess another doctor added on my list.

He said he'll leave it to my Rheumatologist and Neurologist to figure all of this out.

i'm really wondering what it could be but I am strongly thinking things like wide spread Neuropathy or Ms, I know that can affect the bladder.

And I have many symptoms that could fit a Ms diagnosis now.
Or spread Neuropathy, as they're both a bit alike.

I know Ms+Lupus/Sjogren is pretty uncommon but it is possible.

He also mentioned the name of the issue I am having but I seem to have lost it currently.
I'll mention it later if I remember or read the papers/When my GP or Neuro has results.

Sounds like you are starting to get some answers.

Sadly the dizziness and loss of sensations and such in my hands, feet, mouth etc.-
They're still there.

I felt really dizzy when going into the hospital/during the test.

Was the name he mentiond Neurogenic bladder?  That can happen with damage to the nerves/spinal cord.  You would have problems emptying your bladder.  Kind of sounds like it from what you describe.  If you have some control, which is sounds like you do, then the Physical Therapy training can help to a point.  You will want to find out what is causing it though which is why he wanted you to get back with the Neurologist and rheumy.  Hope the PT helps and you get some more answers soon!

And yes, that is one of the words he mentioned but he also named something else.
One of the issues I am having is to start urinating+empty my bladder.
I suspected this to be neurological related.

I'll keep digging untill I find the cause.
Most likely Neuropathy or Ms, suits my other symptoms too.

Hugs Shani, well at least that procedure is over now and the drs have found something that is treatable to help you.  Hope that you get that neuro appt quickly and that the pelvic physiotherapy is helpful for you.  I have been doing pelvic physio myself for almost 3 years now and its been an absolute Godsend.
