The Neuro doc just kind of stares at me...he is Pakistani and wrote that I am an obese white woman :o
I am 50 lbs overweight, I know, but wow...anyway. Seriously, he just STARES at me when I ask question. I think he thinks I am repulsive or something, or doesn't know how to answer my questions?? Strange stuff.

My EEG was normal, my EMG was normal. They did the shock thing and the needle in the muscles test. He said my tingling, burning/cold feet and hands are related to my SJS dx, small nerve stuff. I have known for sometime that I have had PN. My dad had it, my mom has it.  :P

CAT ....I'm so sorry to yak so much...I'm so frustrated.  :'( I DO appreciate you all. And, by giving his ethnic background and mine, I am NOT racist (I love all people). It's just that my Rheumie is and does the same thing! I hope they DON'T find me repulsive...just a chocoholic.

awwe Cat!
I wish I could curse in this forum cause I would have a word or two for that Dr.!! Weight or race shouldn't have anything to do with our trying to get answers and or solutions to this horrible disease! >:(

i have been bumping into you all day  LOLOL  :D.......keep your head up girl and yak away that's what we're here for

I think this is normal for the dr to write the notes, as I've seen mine as......."well nourished" pleasant mid-aged (getting to old)................I am not sure if they write down that I'm white or not.  I am well aware of the well nourished thing meaning fat/obese.

You maybe should have put this in the other column.  Lucy

Just to make it known....a proper medical history includes vital stats including weight, and race (some disease processes and congenital conditions are more predominant in some ethnicities).

The medical guide lines for "normal weight" "overweight" "obese" and morbid obesity" are defined and quite strict...morbid obesity is defined as being 50% or more over ideal body weight! That means that a person whose ideal body weight is 60 kg (132 lbs) is morbidly obese at 90 kg (198 lbs)......I can't speak for anyone else, but I've been there, and non-medically, I looked "chubby"! Still wearing regular sizes, all the usuall measurements and shapes easily identified (I still had a waist for example)

Granted, doctor's could be much less blunt in their descriptions!

:) Mink, I know!  *oops...excuse me*.  ;)

Linda, I understand that. I, too, am in regular sizes. I just wish he would just listen and not glare..and grin, like I am asking the dumbest questions in the world.  lol

Anyway, life goes on one day at a time! ;)

Sorry but there is a certain amount of a language gap with any doctor of whom English isn't their 1st language.
