So sorry for your loss. No matter your age when you lose a parent, you still feel like a little child. I still miss both my mother and father, who died some years ago.

Take care of yourself, and allow yourself to enjoy your memories. Time will lighten the pain some.

Hugs,

Genko

I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family.  It's hard losing a loved one-- even when they've been ill.  It doesn't make it easier.  Take care.

Dear Carebear,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It is never easy to lose a loved parent, but holiday time is even more difficult.  I will keep you and your family in prayer.
God Bless you and your family.

Carebear
There are no words to even begin expressing my deepest of sympathies to you and your family.  There is nothing I could say to ease your pain.  Just know that you are loved.  You have many around you, including us sjogies, to help give you strength when you feel weak.

I lost my Dad 4 years ago November 23rd.   A day doesn't go by were I don't think of him.  I find happiness in the memories and cherish them.  Hold them dear to my heart.  I am thankful for the time my dad was given on this earth.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.  I will light a candle in honour of your Dad.

Thank you friends for your very kind words.

I will so very much miss my Dad, but I feel blessed to have cared for him for the last year and a half.  And I was with him at the very end.  Nothing was left unspoken between us.  That's as good as it gets in this life.
