I got a call this afternoon from the neuro that sent me to Mayo, they told me I was suposed to be there this morning and they will not see me anymore not fill any scrips for tramadol, I freaked out,, I told her that you people never did nothing for me anyway,, and reminded them of the many times I called about symptoms worsening and getting the PA calling me and saying,, well we dont kow how bad its going to get,, what the F,, so you just stop treating me because I missed a appt with God,,
Well I believe I have either pancreatitis,, or gastropareis ,, nothing moving at all now,, anything I eat now just sticks there and nothing moves,, I had to take the dog out and while he did his buiness,, I did mine,, throwaing up, and when I came back in,, took my coat off,, its now a half hour later and it still feels like I was outisde with no coat on at all,, my body is so messed up,, before I needed gloves in the cold weather,, now I can go outside and not wear any,, of course there white,, but I dont fel anything,, completely numb,, to prove it to my wife,, I got my penknife jabbed my hands with it,, not deep,, but enough to leave a mark,, I pinched the skin as hard as I could and had her do the same,, no feeling whatsoever,,
Well now that my stomach has stopped working,, and I cant eat,, barely walk,, and arms that dont work,, sure looks like the end of the road for me,, I cant imagine anymore stuff coming on,, but of course it will,,
I was looking over the Mayo papers,, and noticed some very borderline bloodwork,, a point above normal,, cortisol,, prolactin, and a few special test that I need to go over again, there barely above normal,, and I got screwed to the tune of about 4 grand,, UPMC wont cover some of the cost,, said it was out of network,, dam it,, the whole trip was out of network,, I dont understnad anything anymore,, I really dont,,

NavyDad,
I read you other post first. Sorry to hear about more difficulties. Life isn't fair, but you really seem not to be getting much cooperation from the medical community.
They better not hire you for any advertising  campaigns. A little humor, I hope it didn't annoy you.
Again remember we all look forward to hearing from you and how you are doing, even if it isn't very well

All I can say is WOW!! That Dr. (and I use that term loosely) is a jerk.  Doctors should up hold the oath - Do no harm.
In your case they did you a lot of harm.   Please feel free to always come here and speak your mind, we will always listen.

Hi Navydad,

I'm sorry to hear about this turn, and believe me, I've been "fired" once from a doctor and I said good riddance (thanks to him, I found a much better doctor, and I sure feel for old doctors patients).

Now that you've gotten rid of this guy, can you maybe see another neuro?  I mean can you see if your insurance can refer you to another neuro maybe?  Or how about your primary?

I wish you the best and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and I'm sending you some soft giant

( ( ( ( ( H U G S ) ) ) ) )

my friend.

Take care of yourself, and don't forget to keep us updated, okay?

Wtf is right! I mean seriously... do they think you really wanted to miss that appointment? Hello...trying to get answers and a dx,  and ya can't do that by purposely missing an appointment! I am so sorry that they are that brutal! All I have to say is karma bites!

Sha who is still ordering no big red truck people!;)

Sorry for your troubles.  Did you let them know you had made a date mistake?  They make mistakes too.  Sometimes things happen for the best.  Perhaps you will find a more knowledgeable and caring doctor.

OMG I can't believe this keeps happening to you!! You have the worse luck.
I keep praying that you will wake up one morning and you will be better.
sending hugs and prayers to you

navydad, I thought you had a new neuro who was doing tests and going to be more proactive. Were you seeing 2 neuros???

Lily

Navydad,

What about the new neuro?  Have you called that office.  Sounds as if you might need to be admitted at this point if you can't even eat anything.  Can't imagine how you can even get up in the morning and put one foot in front of the other.

People ARE put into hospitals for a lot less than you're enduring.
