Another Evoxac Question

I have done a search on your forum and read everything I could find on Evoxac.
From what I have read it seems if you have the profuse sweating as a side effect, you either live with it or don't take the medication.
I started taking this drug a few weeks ago and was hoping to read that this horrible sweating would go away after awhile.

After having to cut this post down in size 6 times ("The message exceeds the maximum allowed length (1000 characters)" I will just get straight to the question.

Can someone here tell me if this sweating will go away?

Why are we all so weirdly different and can't compare necessarily to get ideas?  I take Evoxac and tried to go without it but I am just too dry.  My mouth and throat dries up to a desert.  I also didn't want to take it because of the sweating.  Then, I thought sweating or not, I'll have to live with it.  I've been on this steadily now for about 6 months.   Sometimes, I forget all about sweating being a side effect and then all of a sudden I'm hot (feeling sweaty.)  This can also be confused with hot flashes. 

In my opinion, the sweating lessens.  I hope it will go away as I know I will always need it unless they find a cure.  Much of my sweating is at night and from the soulders up.  Lucy

I've been on it for over 3 years and the sweating does lessen in time.  I couldn't manage without it, just too dry.

I have been on Evoxac for about 3 years and have never had a sweating problem, but not everyone reacts the same way to medications.

The only way I could stop the sweating was to cut down to two a day instead of the recommended three.   I wish I could take the three and have more moisture, but the sweating was unbearable.  My clothes were soaking.  It is like when I have a night sweat.

So if your sweating doesn't lessen in time, maybe you can cut back on your dosage.

Thanks for some insight...hopefully sweating will lessen with time.
Last night while trying to post here I could hardly keep sweat from dripping into my keyboard from my fingers...and had a towel wrapped around my head to soak up the sweat.

...but it sure is nice being able to swallow for a change, and no sores in my mouth right now.

I haven't had the sweating. I do get hot about 15 minutes after I take it. I know it's coming but it seems to be the nausea that hits me the hardest. I'd like to cut my dosage down to 2 a day but by the time I take it at night my mouth is in so much pain! It seems to be one evil or the other.

Taking the evoxac with food will slow absorption, which might help.

Also, cutting down to one or two a day and then building up to two or three after giving your body a few weeks to adjust.

When I started Evoxac at 3 pills a day, I was drooling like a Bernese mountain dog in a delicatessen. Unbelievable! I cut back to 2 a day and still am on that dose several years later. But I'm pretty small (100 lbs.).

I get hot/sweaty and cold spells but assumed it was due primarily to the autonomic dysfunction issues; it is possible that some of it is Evoxac, but I'm used to it now.
