Groceries: For those of you who live in the South (VA and lower)

A well known grocery chain has started online grocery shopping.  All you have to do, after you order your items online, is drive to the store, park in the designated parking spot, push a button, and they bring your groceries out and put them in your trunk.  You pay right from your driver's seat.  Extremely convenient when you suffer with fatigue but still need groceries like everyone else.  I did it yesterday and it was like a dream come true.  I didn't have to unload my kids, push that heavy cart, and feel like dying halfway through the store.
They can be expensive on certain items compared to other chains, but if you know what you're doing, you can save a lot of money there.
The store's initials are HT (don't know if I can spell it out on here). Again, if you live in the South, you'll know what it is.

You can also get some items online from Amazon. The mailman brings them right to your door. I don't know that buying everything would be practical there but it works great for specialty items or things you use a lot of. Buying in bulk reduces the price and shipping cost per item. As an example there's noodle mix I like that has seaweed in it. Close to $2 at a local store, about 33 cents in bulk online. Even if things are slightly more expensive by the time you figure in gas and exhaustion or pain it's a bargain.

I have also used online grocery shopping from my local West Coast grocery chain. A terrific convenience when I'm not feeling well. They deliver in a guaranteed 2 hour time slot. Given I get a lot of liquids, which can be heavy to carry, a great energy saver.

I don't use it, but a lot of people in my apartment building use Peapod grocery delivery and are quite happy with it.  I'm in CT, but I think it's also available in RI, NY, D.C. area, and around Chicago.  The link is easily found on google.
