Why you get COLDS.

Dear Sjogren's Angels:

This is from an article in the New York Times.

It blew me away.

It seems counterintuitive, but there it is: People with more active immune systems may be especially prone to cold symptoms. So getting a cold may be a positive sign that your biochemical defenses are working normally ? a glass-half-full view of getting the sniffles.

By the way, my husband doesn't think this is accurate, or rather doesn't cover the entire scenario.   He started to explain it to me and my eyes glazed over.

I am recovering from the cold from Hades.  Which doesn't get on the Richter scale for the things people suffer I know.  But I never get colds, so I was dumbfounded.  AND I was just getting over the six week cough I inherited from my granddaughter.  She bequeathed it to lots of people that's for sure.

Personally, I'm terrified of getting sick.  I try my hardest to avoid catching even the smallest cold... I feel like my immune system gets worse after fighting a cold

So, I use to get colds all the time time and now I seldom get one, that's a bad thing, what ever happened to the rhino virus that was supposed to be the cause of colds?
