Joy and I were just checking on each other and it made me wonder about the rest.

I truly don't think I have ever seen so much rain in my life! It rained cats and dogs for days, almost non stop. I was home by myself, surprised I was not afraid, but at night I could not sleep trying to stay alert of tornados and straight winds. It thundered with lighting like you would not believe both during days and nights.

Who would have thought that Nashville would have so many flooded streets and highways! There are boats in the streets of downtown!!

I'm due to pick my husband up tomorrow from the airport, I'm wondering if I can even get to him.

Today is beautiful, thank God!

I tell you what it sure made ya think of the Great flood, of course there were plenty of jokes about Noah and the ark, all I can say is, thank God he has promised not to do that again (flood the world).

I'm fine in Chattanooga;  thanks for asking  :)  I hope things get back to normal quickly for you.  Good luck tomorrow!

Hey Bernice,

Glad you are OK. I know that is scarey - we had a similar situation in Atlanta last year. School was closed for several days. It seemed like everyone either had flooding or leaks popping up everywhere. Boy was I happy to be living up on my hill!

Take care and stay dry!

I heard about the flooding on the radio this morning. It's really hard to imagine Nashville being flooded! I'm in East Tennessee (Knoxville) and while we had a bunch of rain, it was nothing like what you guys got. I hope everyone is safe and dry.

Hugs,

Lisa

Water, Water, Everywhere and not a drop to drink!!!!! We are alright but my son and his wife narrowly escaped. They were on a business trip and staying at the Opryland Hotel. It is now evacuated. Thank goodness they used good judgement and got out while it was possible and before the rains came.  We live in an area that is not easily fllooded. Nashville and the surrounding area is in devastation.

We are OK here in East Tn. where we live. We are about 1 and a half hours west of Knoxville, but school was canceled today due to many side roads flooded. There is a low area out in a field not far from us that looks like you could put a bunch of boats out there.

We did have the sun finally come out today so it should get better. Hope everyone else is OK.

Yeah, they did the right thing, the Opry Mills Hotel was flooded. I think they said about 6 feet of water there, So much water is right.

Already they are blaming someone, it's said that the company that was pumping water went about it the wrong way and caused many building to be flooded, but like they said no one has experience in this.

I't my understand they have the main highways open today, yesterday they were saying they had nowhere to pump the water from them. By tomorrow morning the river is suppose to go down in Nashville, that will help alot.

Schoold is closed again tomorrow!

You know when I came back from New Jersey I was afraid of the hills, didn't want a house with the slightest hill, but now I wished I was on top of one. Just a street from me is flooded, someone had a canoe out there.

Most don't have flood insurance, this kind of thing don't happen here, but I do have it, pray I never have to use it!

Keeping all you TN residents in prayer and sending good DRY thoughts your way!  What would you expect from here?  Someone with moisture?  You have to have a bit of levity in these times of devastation or you'll lose your mind!  ...do ya think you could find a way to share all that moisture with us???

Seriously, glad to hear eneryone is safe and hope the waters go down quickly.
Sending lots of love and sandbags.
