Rania

Hello again!  :)

I've been at these boards since some time in 2004 I think. I became very ill several times, and after a long time of bad health I tried to log in here, but I wasn't able to do so for some reason. Password, e-mail and all that "stuff" were perfectly ok, but still I was unable to log in.

So I registered again as "Elida" this spring or last fall. But that was not "me" I felt for some reason. I have no idea if anyone remember me at all form years back. But I decided to try to register as "Rania" again, since the boards were changed a lot some years back during the time I was away from here, and I found my old username still available. I did not check that out when registering as Elida, since you have to be a registered member to see the usernames of the members.

So I said goodbye to the "Elida" profile/account tonight, and deleted it. I will no longer post as "Elida". Only as Rania. Some posts might still be here and there, I haven't posted for a while though. But I will only post under one usermane (having several is probably forbidden too), and I have no need to have several profiles/usernames either. I'm barely healthy enough to be able to post in one, so two world be more than I could handle!! And I still choose to have the same avatar as I had for years back!

I'm still Rania from Norway in Northern Europe, or Scandinavia as some refer to. Norway is still not Sweden, it is the country next to Sweden, by the Atlantic coast. I have experienced that a lot of people are confused abort which is which of those countries! So no, I'm not Swedish! Those are two different countries. They're neighbours though.

I'm happily married since last summer, and I have moved to a new home too. We still don't have children, and we wonder if we ever will have them. It is a very tricky question. My sjogrens and other conditions/diseases give me a hard time on that area.

I'm still me, in any kind of the word. I still love to embrace my good days, and I try my best to find positiveness and happiness and joy in most in my life. Sometimes very hard to do, as most of you probably have discovered!! Staying focused and positive when pain is eating out our bone marrow in pain is hard. Just to mention one symptom, the pain.

I still have my lovely cat, he is close to 8 years of age and is a seal point birman named Charlie. That is my "child" for now! Even my husband take good care of the cat, he has grown to love the furball!

I have a lot of interrests. I love writing, and I do have a weblog/blog. It is in Norwegian though, with no ability to translate to English, so unfortunately a lot of my English speaking friends are not able to read it. I love to paint and draw, and I love taking care of our home and make it a cosy place for resting and loading batteries. I love to have friends over, but I'm not able to throw a very relaxed dinner or to arranger a movie night with something to eat too, as often as I world like to. But I try my best. I'm very interresten in astronomy, reading, politics, I love animals and I love to practice qi gong. I'm in a beginners group, and already it internests me a lot!

I'm disabled and has been for some years. I used to work in healthcare, but I also studied economy and law and then some. Well what is the use in those now? It is a piece of paper, but it is not worth much when not working!

My most important job is to take care of my self and prevent a decrease in my health situation. It goes up and down. I certainly see a downhill curve when looking back 10 years, when I was still working. But there are times when things are good to. I try to see my glass half full rather than half empty, and I really focus on being as good wife as possible. He is a good husband to me, so I owe him to be a good wife.

I'm further away from my friends geographically since we moved two years ago. That is sad, I wish to see them more often. But I like it here and I think we have a good life here. Close to the Atlantic ocean. If the earth wasn't round I could almost see straight to USA on a sunny day.

Well it is certainly late night here, I need to go to bed. Just wanted to say that old Rania is back!?
And to newbies and almost newbies: it might not say so in my profile, but I've been here for more than six years, even though my posts count only very few messages. So I'm not as new as it seems!! I think I had abort 2000 posts all together before creating this profile, which I will be using.

In the end, English is a second language to me, so please bear over with me in my writing! I do my best, but a foreign language doesn't always mix well together with brainfog! But I'll do my best!! ;)

Hugs and kisses, take care. :)

Thank you Patze!!

Very nice to be back here. I remember you! :)
I'll go to bed now as i said, it is 2.30 nighttime here. But i see so many typos in my first post, even though I used this spell check program. Many of my errors are my fingers not hitting the right button on the keyboard though, brainfog and dizzyness is a weird thing! I'll try to change my typos tomorrow when more awake! ;)

Patze

HI Rania,

Don't worry about misspellings, shoot I misspell all the time! ;)  It's good to have you back again.

Hi Rania - welcome back home to your Sjoggie family.   ;D

Congratulations on your marriage.   :D

You have a good attitude, "I still love to embrace my good days, and I try my best to find positiveness and happiness and joy in most in my life.".  That's a good way to be!

I hope you continue to find this forum helpful to you.  As you can see, we've grown by leaps and bounds in membership.  It's sad that there have been quite a few young people join these last few years - proof that Sjogren's knows no age or gender - it affects young, and old(er)  ;) alike.  However, we are all on this Sjogren's journey together - which helps.

Take care,
Bucky

Rania, O my girl, I can't tell you how many times I have thought about you over the past years. The last I heard you were so ill and in the hospital for a long time and then heard no more.

My goodness, it is like having a new Rania here. You are feeling much better and you are married. Wow! Congratulations. It is a joy to have you back on the forum and hope to hear lots more from you. Irish ;D

Hi Sis,  It's good to see you back again.  I so wish we lived closer so we could play cards or just chat the night away.  I too am still up with the pain (Fred).  Legs and hips are giving me a bad time tonight.  I'll write more later and send those pictures.  Thanks again for your wedding picture.  It's beautiful.  I love your gown.

Take care, hugs, love and God Bless,
Big Sis

Bucky

Hey . . no fair that Big Sis Pooh gets to see you in your beautiful wedding gown and we don't.   :'(

Awww, you are all so cute! Thank you! Love you a lot!
I would not mind putting out my wedding picture, but I don't know how to.

I still think a lot about you, and I miss "the old days" when I was active and met quite a few of you in chat.
My health has been bad again, it is just the same drill as it has been over the years. I so like to participate in here, but I'm so fatigued, and my cognitive abilities are under influence of this disease, so I don't write Engllish well anymore. Not that I did it earlier either (!!), but now it is worse. I'm working with my application for a handicap parking note again, I've had it for years, but I need to renew it from time to time. But the words slip away from me, even in my own mother tongue.

Well, we're in the end of May, and I look forward to therest of the year! My favorite seasons! I always get worse in spring, could be due to allergies too, but from late June at least and till February, I'm usually in better shape than normal. But it goes up and down. You all know the drill.

Thank you for welcoming me back so friendly and warm. I'm deeply deeply touched, beyond words. Really.

Hugs and kisses,
Rania  :)
