telephone symbol on messages ?

On some of the messages in the discussion board, I have notices a symbol next the message that looks like a telephone. 

But under my list of message icon's i don't see anything like that.   Where or How does that come up on a message?

I see what you mean.  I'm not sure, as I don't see it listed under the message icon symbols either.    It appears that on BonusMom's posts there is a cell phone symbol - maybe, she posts on the site from her cell phone?  Hmmmmm . . . . . .

We'll have to see what other staff members take is on this . . . I don't know.

Ohio Cat, Have been watching your post to see how the telephone appeared!   

Believe I saw a telephone on Navy Dad's post one day recently. Think I am correct in this statement. Easy on me if it wasn't you with little telephone, Navy Dad!!!!!

While browsing the Help menu some time ago ,swear I saw that little telephone, BUT...you understand, I know...

I don't know either but could it be when someone posts via their cell phone or Blackberry? I know a phone appears next to my DIL's nick on MSN if that is the way she is online.
If the brainfog lifts long enough i'll try to remember to ask our 'techy'!
