Hi All,

On Wednesday I will be leaving early to go out east to North Carolina for a week to see my brand new great nephew! I am so excited! There are 5 of us going....2 are flying and 3 of us are driving together...I'm one who wanted to drive...seemed easier and less stressful to me! (its about 15-16 hour drive not counting stops...but we plan on taking our time and stopping...lol)

I hope to see some pretty spring sights, have a little fun and relaxation, spend time with family and of course hold my new baby great nephew!

Woooo hooooooo!

Hope you have a great road trip and a wonderful time getting acquainted with your great nephew.  I also hope you enjoy visiting my home state, North Carolina.  Great place to visit and lots to see.  I live in the middle of the state called the Piedmont.

Lynnmarie - how was your road trip to NC?  Probably not a lot of scenery to see along the way right now . . . being so early into Spring.

How's that darling little great nephew??  Awwwww.  I have a great niece in OH I haven't had a chance to hold or see in person yet - shoot, she'll be almost a year old by the time I see her this summer.

Babies are fun to hold unless they're cranky, stinky or tired.  It's so sweet though to hold a sleeping baby.   :D  Hope you are having lots of opportunities to hold your new gt. nephew.

Enjoy the rest of your visit and have a safe trip back home.

Take care . . . . . Hugs,
Bucky

I'm green with envy as NC is my favorite place in the world, especially the northeastern section near Boone!   :)

I'm home! It wasn't a bad trip driving at all...some rain coming back...but not too bad! The scenery was nice especially through the mountains and the dogwood trees were in full bloom when I got a little further south! We actually stayed right on the Marine base at Camp Lejeune since my nephew and his wife live on base...its huge and they have a hotel there for families so it was very convenient.

As far as my great nephew...well I know I'm a little biased...but he is a beautiful baby boy....very good and sleeps a lot....so many of my pics are of him sleeping! But when I held him I made sure to wake him up so I could see his beautiful eyes....is that mean??  :) He fell back asleep with no problems afterward though ! Very good baby!

Glad to be back...it's always nice to come back home! I'm going to try to catch up here over the next few days...but for now it's back to work tomorrow for me  for a few days to catch up there too!  :-\

We have one little baby girl who turned one year old last week.  Do I need to say spoiled LOL.  She gets right in the mix though with all those boys with her pink frilly dress and big pink bow.

Lynnemarie have a wonderful time.   Happy Easter to you and your family!!
