Today I go to the endo who found the Sjogren's, and get all the gory details, including copies of labwork. He had done the labs in December, and I hadn't heard anyting from him in 3 weeks, so I called the office. I had just read an article saying to not wait for lab results in the mail---no news may not be good news, necessarily. So I called, and he got on the phone himself, and said I had tested positive for one of the SS antibodies. I asked him to please spell that disease again? He did, and said it's not his area of expertise, and he would fwd my file to my PCF, and the rheumy. I told him to send it just to my regular doctor.

I guess today I should have him send the file to the rheumy I saw a year ago. He thought my elevated antibodies were from Hashimotos, and after an extensive exam of all of my joints and where they hurt when I do THIS  ( I know, don't do that!), that I probably  didn't have anything like lupus or RA. Just osteoarthritis, and bursitis in my hip. He ordered bloodwork to rule out the other stuff, and I am ashamed to say I never went to do it. :-[   I was convinced it was because of thyroid issues--my levels suddenly went up,  then down and all around, so Dr. Meow was sure the fatigue and broken nails/hair was all a result of that.
I don't even have the orders to see if SS was one of the tests.
Anyway, thanks for listening. I know that most of you are suffering  a great deal more than I am, and I shouldn't complain.

I refuse to tiptoe quietly through life, only to arrive safely at death's door.

Sjogrens, Hashimotos, CFS.  Also, fast approaching CRS Syndrome ;)

Hope your appointment went well and you have some answers.  You didn't sound like a complainer at all, and besides, we do allow complaining in here.
Best wishes

Well the bad news is you have the antibodies....the good news is you have the antibodies, hence, you can shake that piece of paper in the docs nose if need be....for me, I felt like, wow....see, I am not nutz.  After ten years of being told it was in my head.....alas....it was not.  It is a mixed 'blessing'.
