Was just rereading this and wanted to tell you about what my parents have done. My Mom saves all the cards and on birthdays and Anniversarys etc. She and my dad  give each other all the cards. They hid them in and over the bed, under the pillow....they have a few cards from the late 40's and 50's! Most from the last 20-30 yrs....It's fun to read them and see the old cards. They have fun doing it. Because of it I have saved our cards and figure when we are married 5 yrs or so I will pull out our old ones too! Just another idea to add.

btw where did you get the info for your cards?

Genko -  I'm sure it not only made your Father and brother feel good to read the letter from you - it also warmed your heart too.  I'm sure both men cherished those words from you.

As I have mentioned before, even though you might "tell" someone something, if you put it it writing it is something that will be re-read many, many times.  Something tangible to hold and see.  A keepsake.

RobinBat - it is fun looking through old cards.   :D

I got my info from a site called:  www.thepeoplehistory.com
