Hi

As some of you know, I have had some probems with my bowel for the last year or so. The botox in Ocober didn't do anything, and at my appointment this week, I was told that part of my bowel is 'telescoping' and that it's likely I will need surgery, with mesh, to pin the prolapse to my pelvis. We are holding off on surgery for now, and will review in a few months, unless I have more problems before then.

Anyone else had this? The bowel doctor thinks it's related to the SJS. Will see what the rheumy thinks in a couple of weeks.

I haven't had to deal with this either, but I want to wish you luck at getting this corrected as quickly as is needed. What caused this for you? Have they given you any other ideas in addition to possibly related to SS?

Please keep us posted and I hope you get more answers very soon....hang in there!

I hope all goes well for you.

Thank you for your comments. Today I had an appointment with the continence nurse to discuss my problems passing urine. The upshot is that I am retaining a large amount of urine, which is probably being trapped by my 'significant' cystocele.  I have some specific advice about using a bladder stimulater on my lower abdoment, and instructions for trying to void more urine. The review is in two weeks, when we will discuss a referal to gyny surgeon to sort our the cystocele. This is independent to the internal bowel prolapse.

Sometimes I wonder where it will end. Although I know these are not life threatening problems, they are certainly threating my sanity :(
