With any lab test, a testing site can use a different company's test with it's own range of normal so you really must be careful when comparing numbers.  Always ask what the normal range is when you get abnormal results to get a better idea of where you fall in the range for that test.

So much is still being learned about Vitamin D but it has been linked to cancer, multiple sclerosis and other diseases. Low vitamin D can be mistakenly diagnosed as fibromyalgia and other illnesses with the symptom of severe fatigue. I believe I read somewhere that it occurs in higher number in folks with sjogren's. If you don't know why it is significant, my opinion is that you need to learn more about it. There are many posts on this site that will help.
