I have a poll type question:  For those of you on Evoxac, how many do you take per day?  The reason I ask is because my rheumatologist said that I could take up to 4 a day on a really dry day but not on a regular basis.  She said the recommended dosing is 3 a day and they like to stick with that.  Have any of you ever taken 4 Evoxac in a day and did you really notice a difference?

Thanks for your help.

My rheum says that most people can't tolerate more than three a day.  I was taking two a day, and he encouraged me to add another.

I can't make heads or tails out of predicting what will happen when I take it regardless of the doses I take throughout the day.  I definitely notice more saliva within twenty minutes, but the effect disappears within an hour or two.

I spread the doses out throughout the day, so I don't notice any ill effects from three rather than two.  I do, however, sometimes break out in a clammy sweat after taking a dose.  There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it, though.

Yes, I had horrific side effects at first.  I've been on it for two years and the last few months I've noticed my side effects have diminished greatly including the sweating.  With that said, two weeks ago, I had on a brown dress for church and midday thru I noticed my arm pits were soaking wet.  Now, prior to Evoxac, I didn't sweat unless it was very hot and humid.

Anna,
I take it 3 times a day.   When I asked my rheumy if I could increase that, he said, "If you ever decide to take more, I don't want to know about it."   I assumed that meant a definite "no."   I'm curious to hear from those of you who take 4, though.

Yes, that was the feeling I got from my rheumy.  If you do, it should be on rare occasions.  I hope others will respond.

I was prescribed 3x a day but only take it twice.  My dryness is not severe yet....
