Hi, I've heard Hyaluronic Acid helps dry eyes, mouth etc. I'm drying up everywhere and it's driving me crazy. Has anyone tried it? I coat myself in lotion, use eye drops, vaseline my lips, use Replens for the privates and I'm still constantly fighting this. Any suggestions?

Hi, I think that hyalironic acid is an ingredient in some drops I tried called ocusan. They were lovely and comfortable but didn't last very long...

I read an article by an online pharmasist and she said to take the tablets up to 100mg. It is suppose to alleviate dry skin, etc as well as help joints.

As I am in sympathy and same boat as you Shine, I'd be interested in this..

Re Leah tho'   did you mean that the drops themselves did not last long ?

Or that the relief did not last long  ?   Thanx Dolly x

I've been taking hyaluronic acid, chicken sternal collagen and glucosamin and chondrotin (packaged as osteo-biflex) for a couple of years now. I started because of the aching and stiffness I was feeling in the joints. Again keep in mind that cause and effect with Sjogren's is difficult to acquire I have noticed that I can do more outside as far as walking and bending with more comfort.

Hi Shine,

I can highly recommend Carmex for dry lips.  If you can stand the camphor smell and the burn while it's healing your lips, it'll make them smoother than a rose petal after a time.   Been using it for 15 years now...I won't try anything else.

Thanks all, my doctor put me on Evoxac yesterday and already it has helped a lot.

As I read this stuff for lips, I want to make a comment that I use all kinds of potions on my lips.  Of late, just because it's easy to find, I've been using Burt's Bees' lemon butter cuticle cream.  It is kind of waxy, but hasn't killed me yet.  I still say vaseline is as good as anything.  Or you can try cuticle cream.  I wouldn't use anything artificial.  This stuff is all edible from the sounds of it.  Lucy
