question on salagan?

my doctor gave me a script for salagen 5mg a few days a go i was wondering does it take
time to build in your system to work i have not really noticed any difference

Salagen has a very short half life. It works (if it's going to) within about half an hour, the effect is usually only about 30-90 minutes, and it's completely gone from your system in less than 6 hours.

Evoxac is a drug in the same class, but has a slightly longer half life and more durable effect, but neither "builds up" in your system.

I just got mine yesterday, same thing.  So, the first tablet I took made me really sick until I ate and drank enough water.  Then last night I was reminded of something that I used to do, drool in my sleep.  Yep, I actually woke up to slobber on my cheek (and my hubby's level of romance if even below that, so was not him).  It was very odd to have saliva again, and it kept draining down the wrong pipe as I was falling asleep.

I also take Salagen as I tried Evoxac and it didn't work for me...good thing there is more than 1 medication for us to try as our bodies all react so differently to different medicines.

The Salagen works great for me and is fast acting like Linda said....my doctor prescribes it to me and lets me know how many I am able to take in one day as I need it (up to 5...but I usually take 3)...sometimes I don't take as many as other days....that's why I like this medication...it works as you take it and doesn't need to build up in your system....so I can vary my schedule as to when I need it!
