My middle son is always razzing me about how old I am or gonna be.  This year the little fart is going to be 30 and I want to surprise him.

My minds gone blank as to how.  Any Ideas?

How about a black balloon filled with helium?  Or a bottle of laxatives?

If you go to a gag gift store or even a card store....they have SO many funny gifts for the big birthdays and 30 is definitely a big birthday! They have greeting and playing cards with sayings on them, balloons, and so many other funny things that be purchased for a 30th birthday.

"Over the Hill" items are also good...like the black balloons, hats, pins etc!   They even have wrapping paper and gift bags that says "Over the Hill".

If you don't want to go this route....filling a bag with all those over the hill every day goodies like laxatives, a diaper, items that have BIG lettering, fake dentures, moth balls, etc etc....you get the idea.

Can you tell I have done this MANY times?  :D  We do it a lot at work and I have been the recipient on more than one occasion! Its all in fun!

I've always had great response to plastering someone's place of work with posters (just computer gen. one page things) saying things like "Wish Little Fart a happy 30th birthday" or "Little Fart doesn't look a day over 40, too bad he's thirty today". Putting in a current picture and one from childhood (the more embarrassing the better) always adds to it.

Of course some work places like to (pretend to) appear very professional, but there's always cafeterias, break rooms, parking lots and possibly locker rooms.

Yes, and it's GOT to include lots of enlarged baby photos for all to see too!  For my son's 21st I put tpgether an album of 21 pages representing a memory/photo of every year like page 3 when he was 3 years old and said "when I die and go to heaven, the first thing I'm going to say to God is: what everything do you know?".

In the blank pages of the rest of the album we asked guests to write a message, and by the end of the evening he had a lovely souvenir of his life so far and his special party.  Hope you all have a lovely time xx Ailsa

Does the town he lives in have a community bulletin board that could have a saying on it for him for EVERYONE to see?   ;D

Depending on how elaborate you want to be, I know you can rent a sign on wheels (the kind they use for grand openings, etc.).

Oh, I have so enjoyed the minds of all you understanding people.  I liked the sayings alot too.  I told the youngest son that his brother would be 30 today and he cracked up and asked what I had planned.   Then he said he was in too.

I will bake him a strawberry cake (his favorite) and I'm not sure how I will decorate it just yet.  I have some pretty incriminating childhood photos of him as well.  He works in a garage and is on the road doing repairs and may not be there.

The little darling gave me cell phone to use as mine broke.  It has his best friend's phone numbers in it!!!! Oh Yeah!!    ;)

SassieCat,

Curious to know what you ended up doing for your little darlings birthday??

A 10lb container of Metamucil!!!!  That will surely make him laugh!!!   ;D

Middle son's birthday is May 28th.  I have bought some black crepe paper for streamers.  Some black balloons.  His cake is either going to be a strawberry cake with strawberry wipped cream center or bannan split (strawberry, chocolate with bannanna cream center) in the shape of a grassy hill with a road.  The words going across the road will be over the hill (of course).   Not sure of any other decorations around it.

I plan on decorating his house.  Still scheming on that one.  Was going to check about putting something in the newspaper too.

That's it so far........
