Just needed to vent to people who would understand. My dry mouth is driving me absolutely bonkers. My mouth is dry 24/7 even with Evoxac or Salagen. When I complain my family tells me to keep drinking water but you know sometimes we complain to complain and ofcourse I know to drink water! I've tried Biotene for nightime but it only lasts a few seconds. Last night I was so desperate I popped in a mint and sucked on it until I fell asleep. Like I said just needed to vent. Thx all!

Dry mouth is also my primary issue - sometimes I think its all in my head - I chew gum almost all day - if not chewing, just keep it in my mouth  to keep it calm and quiet.....Evoxac and salagen don't really do any miracles

During the summer I live on fat-free banana popcycles. Roxanne

I love popsicles even in the winter and I live in Michigan, so it's winter 6 months of the year.  I find they help my thirst and I get the sugar free kind.  Lucy

I eat Altoids, helps with the dry mouth and my cigarette cravings.  I know they have sugar, but I don't eat things w/out sugar...I just can't stand the taste of fake sweetener.   :D

Curious..Have any of you tried that Oasis mouthwash for xeristomia? DisGUSting! Tastes like you're are rinsing with teflon or something.. blech.. are all these rinses like that?

Sugar free banana popsicles?  Sounds delicious!  Who makes them?

Billydude

I've become addicted to eskimo pie's this year.  I need to break this cycle because they are NOT fat free.

I use the mouth rinses for dry mouth for my little one Jenna and she likes those flavorice freeze pops.

I absolutely love popsicles (sugar-free) and sometimes they quench better than a liquid!  I can even have two in a row without any consequences.  (weight)  Often late at night, I'll get up and have one and then go back to bed.  One good thing is it dosn't have the bathroom issue.  I have an awful time waking up several times at night to pee.  Lucy

Lucy,
I am here in MI also.  And it is hard to get into popsicles in the winter. LOL

Bonusmom, Kroger carries fat-free banana.

Eyeamdry,  Drinking too much water at night and waking up needing to use the bathroom is why I turned to pops.  Roxanne

KCoffiner,   I find pure pineapple juice very mouth refreshing,  if you drink too much water, instead of just a sip every now and again, it  can make the situation worse...
try not to consume sugary foods, and gently brush tongue with a  gentle toothpaste.. keep out of dry areas (I know this is very hard to do)
and keep the bedroom humidifier going..     I find the Oral balance best for night time
Vent away ,  I do it all the time every where!  Chin Up!   Dolly
