Shaky

Hello all
At night sometimes and in the morning when I get up from bed (I get up slowly for the most part) I feel really shaky. At first I thought maybe I was just a bit hungry, so I'd eat something. But the shakiness would still remain. It is such an odd feeling and really makes my tense up because I fee like I will drop something or fall over myself if I have to get up and walk. Have any of you had this and if you did or do, do you have a way to make it better? I also feel a bit dizzy and light headed with it- almost the way I felt when I was on Trebutaline to prevent early labor with my youngest boy 6 years ago.

Hi Leslie,

Are you currently on any medications?  I noticed after I started Plaquenil that I would get dizzy almost every time I got out of bed.  It is not as bad now, but especially when I first get up in the morning I'm still a little wobbly.

Forgive me - I can never remember who I have asked what of - so I may have asked you this before. Is your thyroid OK? An over active thyroid could make you feel that way.
The other thing to do would be to check online for any medication side effects.

I'd mention it to your doc.

Scottie, my T3 T4 were in normal range when they were tested last year, but my antibodies have never been tested. I hope the rhuemy I get to see in July will test for Hosimotos because I am so tired all the time, plus I have Raymauds and I know thay can go hand in had.
The meds I'm on are Cymbalta, Gabapentin, Ultram, Nifenitipin, Ambein CR, Estrotest HS , and progesteron. The newest ones that I just added 2 weeks ago are the Ultram and the Nifenitipen. I sure will call the dr.

Hi 

I hope they test for Graves as well as Hashimotos. Thyroids can kind of swing either way. Both can make you tired but so can SjS alone. I'm afraid I don't know enough about possible side effects or interactions of the other meds you are on without going and doing quite a bit of googling.

The doc seems the way to go. Good luck!
