Me, fly to London for a Sjoggie hug?? Easy peasy!

Well I talked it over with my husband who was initially wounded that he's been begging me to go!...but when Chickpea asked I jumped all over the idea!

I'm thinking I will give it a try in the Fall after the flu thing and because we have a long line of people planning to vacation at our house this summer.

This will be a 'No Pressure' kind of thing for all you Brits!  Did I ever mention my son's name is Britt?  I descend from UK heritage.  We are the Britt's, Holmes', Henderson's and Reynolds'.

Anyhoo...what do ya'll think?

I'm committed to this trip and will see all the WWII war and aviation museums (hubby is a retired fighter pilot...) if you guys are not able to meet up.  If we do the aviation history vacation he will remember it like a second honeymoon!...so it's all good!

the war history museums down there are great, went to alot of them when i was commuting to see my partner jim, who now lives here, and moved up from essex just outside London.

  I for one would be more than willing to try to sort out comming down there, there are always flights, and acomodation somewhere, would be great to met some of the ppl here whove supported me with kind words and information.

keep us posted on dates etc, and id do my best to get down there, and give you and channa a great big HUG

GO FOR IT!!!!  Make sure to take good care of yourself though.  Traveling can be stressful and tiring.  Try to pace yourself.

Yay Janna!

I'm SO HAPPY!  That's wonderful news.  Hugs and chats waiting for you here this autumn/fall.  We've got lots of time to plan things:  a grand meeting with as many UK Sjoggies as can make it; places to stay; places to visit.

Maybe your husband would like to be in touch with my eldest son who is an archaeologist specialising in WW2: bomb sites, POW camps, plane crashes, etc.  He's done TV archaeology programmes based on digs in London and Poland, and he's worked restoring a WW2 plane.  He'd be great company for visits to aviation museums, and the Imperial War Museum (in Lambeth, London and Duxford, near Cambridge).  Have a look at their web site for more info.

This sounds like a wonderful idea and a great trip....I vote to GO FOR IT as well!!

You can have another pint for me if you all want to or need another excuse...lol! That's about all I would be able to handle as well anymore.....I yiyiyiyiyi!
