twitches ??

Does anybody else have muscle twitches all over??  I get them in my eyes, arms, legs, stomach and bottom....it feels like I have them several times a day.  What causes them is it the sjs or the medicine?  I am on Plaquenil,restasis and ultram.  They aren't a huge deal but I do find them annoying.

I've had this sort of reaction for several years, but in my case the twitches and fasciculation are caused by nerve irritation at the level of the nerve root exiting the spine, because I have spurs at each side of each vertebrae. Purely a mechanical problem for me, but any neuropathy, regardless of the reason, can cause these.

Jen,  I get them too and yes they are annoying  .  My DH sometimes says that my muscles are dancing since they seem to be going to a beat LOL.  I wish I knew what caused them too.  I never made a connection to anything as they seem to come from left field sometimes and I sometimes can go for weeks without it, doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason.

Jen, me too! Sometimes they drive me mad, other times they disappear. I guess they are some form of neuropathy, but as they don't actually urt, they don't bother me too much.

Hi Jen, I've had this happening since 1996 and they haven't got any worse. Sometimes they disappears altogether for a while then return. I have no idea what brings them on, it just seems random. I  believe it's because I have more neurological involvement in my autoimmune condition, but it's benign and doesn't cause any problems. I got checked out by a neurologist 12 years ago, as I had some desensitisation going on as well, which resolved. He couldn't find anything untoward going on.
