The Symbicort I took for five days.  First I stopped the mild antihistamine, as my throat which was dry as it was, got even drier.  By the fifth day I was having pains just below my rib cage and right lung area.  On fifth day I stopped the Symbicort after going to the hospital, and that was their only suggestion.

I have been bringing up phlem which is not pretty to see.  This morning pain in my right lung is not as sore (yet), as it was last night.  I am not taking the Symbicort, and don't have any other asthma medication I can take.

I've had more bronchitis, bronchial asthma this year.  I was thinking my SjS wasn't as bad.  I read earlier that bronchitis and sinus problems is common for Sjs.  So my sjs hasn't really gone away.

Finally, have another appointment with a Rheumy, but not until August.  This Rheumy is very knowledgeable with Sjs, lupus, connective tissue disorders, and Psoriasis.  So I am very anxious to get into see her.

Hope everyone has a happy Easter holiday.

Hi Gerri

I'm sorry the symbicort didn't work out for you. If you are bringing up coloured phlegm, could it be an infection? I take Tiotropium Bromide (Spiriva in the UK). I also use Salmeterol and Salbutamol and, thankfully, my chest is doing ok. It was the addition of the SPiriva tht really amde a difference.

I hope you get sorted soon.

Hi Kathy, I was trying out a new astma medication.  I was told by the doctor at the hospital that I could stop the inhaler for three days and start back up to see if I have an increase in problems again.

I stopped the inhaler.  I have not been able to start back up because, the bronchitis and Pleurisy has not improved.  If I feel it's going down into my chest, I will have to get some antibiotics (I am allergic to most).

Thanks for caring
