Hi Jas  :)

This might be a 'flare' and flares subside again. None of us can look into the future. It's different for all of us and none of us ever get all the same symptoms. Stress is bad for AI diseases so focus on NOW not several years down the line. I only got dxd 5 years ago but something's been going on since 1980. I'm alive, I'm kicking and I'm still working.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Hi Jas,

I agree with Scottie....you are probably experiencing a flare, although there is no way to tell for sure of course. When the body goes through this, it seems as though all of your symptoms (or many) seem to get worse at the same time. This doesn't mean that you will stay this way or get worse.

I hope you are feeling better soon....when you go through a flare...its always best to try and take extra good care of yourself both physically and emotionally as that is what the the body needs during these times!  Let us know how you are doing.

When I first came down with Sjogren's, I literally became very sick overnight and experienced extreme dryness.  When I look back, I can see that I may have had some mild symptoms and did not realize what was going on.  I was very sick, at first, but over the course of the last year have had improvements and feel much better.  Rest is critical, as well as avoiding stress.

Hi Jas,

I've been battling this mess for about three years now, and like the others, I'm still in there working and kicking up a fuss now and then! ;)  Seriously though, I know how looking at this long term is scary, there are still days I wonder about how the heck I'm going to make it.  One day at a time is how I do it, sometimes I can't think beyond that.

Hang in there, okay?

Take care -

Patze
