Hi....ok this is what is going on: Since my daughter started with pain to the time she was diagnosed she has been in pain, ok, she have fibromyalgia and sjogren and mild colitis; my concern is the ribs (both) is a persistent chronic pain that won't go away....I have kept an eye on all her pains that comes and goes but this pain won't go away. Now she is kind of bended cuz she is having lower back pain and lower spinal pain and tingling of hands and dizziness and shaking of hands for more than 2 weeks, now these  pain and symptoms won't go away, and yes she keeps having pain every other part of the body and inflamation that comes and goes except that area.  She was admitted to the hospital due to asthma, possible seizures and pain (in the ribs, lower back and spine).  all blood work came out normal just slight white cells in the urine, a slight elevation of the pancreas, slight anemia.  During the process of admition in the e.r. they asked if she was diabetic cuz her blood sugar was 73-69.  They did a ct scan, x-ray and mri and things seems "normal".  I'm puzzled cuz I don't know if something else can be happening and doctors can't find anything yet.  Should I request a bone scan? Should I accept that it is Fibromyalgia and Sjogren? Pls any other advised and information would be appreciated.  I'm seeing my daughter deteriote with pain and unable to move like she used to.  God bless you

Hi, I am dreadfully sorry that your poor daughter is suffering in this way.. I'm afraid I have no experience of the kind you describe, except for the ribcage and  upper centre back,
for which I am on Naprosan...

What I can say is that many of us here have had all sorts of tests such as your daughter and they too all draw a blank.

So I think it may well  be  the Sjogrens that is flaring badly.. Is she on meds for Sjogrens  e.g drugs that combat the immune system to stop any

degeneration of the organs affected..       ( not sure of any of the names of the drugs)

I,  however am not on these drugs so I cannot comment much there,..  I am sure that the ones who do,   will come along and try to help in your query .. Meanwhile I hope the Doctors treating her come up with the help your dear daughter need right now ..
                                                                                                                   Bless her,   Dolly

I'm sorry your daughter is having so much pain, but it sounds like it all seems to have an inflammatory source. Has she had a test called a gallium scan? That test will show any areas of inflammation anywhere in the body, although it won't show the cause. It will at least show if there is inflammation in the areas that are causing her pain, and that may give some hints as to what's causing the pain.

I'm sorry to hear what a rough time your daughter is having with pain...and I can understand the frustration of not getting any answers on top of everything else.

It could be a sjogrens flare...it could be from the fibro...it could be something else entirely.....I know that's not any help to you, but I would suggest to keep pushing for answers. When you are able to get answers, then they can start a treatment plan to help lower or get rid of the pain and other symptoms!

Hugs to you and your daughter.....
