mini article on SS in newspaper

For all us Brits, there is a mention of SS on P37 of 'The Daily Express' today, in the section 'Diseases your Dentist can diagnose'.  It's not much but is very clear and was useful for showing to family to help them see some of the symptoms.  Not tried to put in a link before so hope this helps.

I reckon we'll be hearing more and more about SjS in the press as people get more familiar with the variety of AIs.  In the meantime I agree with the others - so few people have even heard of SjS.  When I was in hospital recently the only person who'd heard of it was the anaesthetist.  I suppose I was lucky he had because I woke up with lovely moistened eyes!  Just for a change!!

Interesting!  When I went to see an acupuncturist he dxd what I needed by studying my mouth and tongue before deciding where to stick the needles.

My endocrinologist sent me for an ANA panel based on the state of my teeth.

Well spotted. THis will make the sjogrens disease more heard of and information is power. There was a very mall artical in our national newspaper 'The Sun' about a women who had now tears at all. I also suffer no tears when i cry, so it was great to show my family that im not the only one.
