Pud ! Dr In NewCastle !

Hi Pud

Finally saw the good Doc in Newcastle today...its been a tough 10 hour drive..phew..and hot to boot !

Though he seems on the ball as far as being someone a patient can talk to.

He has me wanting to do a 'Salivary Scintigraphy'..he and his associates have modified the test..he thinks it is now more accurate than a lip biopsy..! Im all for that..he gave me a paper that he has had published...he probably got you to do this ?

He thinks it's Sjogrens..despite all the negative bloods...ESR,CRP,SSA,SSB...however on all the Pathology requests he has put 'Sjogrens ?'.....I see this all the time with all the Doctors I see...so Im not surprised to see it again...

He also is open to Plaq...the first Doc that is for me !

PS Any chance you could pay my petrol bill

Its like a breath of fresh air when you find someone you can relate to..

I think most of the Doc's Ive seen need to go on a course in how to relate to human beings !

This board is a great resource, even around the world!!  I found my favorite rheumy by a referral someone wrote on the board.  I likely would have never found her.  I don't have to travel 10 hours, only one and one-half.  It's not hot here...it's cold and snow.

I also referred another person who was sort of stuck now knowing where to turn and gave them the name of a great University Medical Center which works with Autoimmune.  This all happened in little old Michigan......and part of it spilled over to Indiana.  I still love my rheum.  Lucy

Yes im back in the land of the normal....welll

finished my nights. IM so glad the doc was good for you. He diagnosed my on the scintigraphy even tho all my bloods were negative.

And yes he loves the Plaq. was the first thing he put me on.

Are you seeing him again? if i'd have know you were coming up i would have had you round. Next time stay over night we have a spare room.

As for the petrol. you secure me a pay rise and I'll pay for your petrol..............lol
