after the horrible doctor appt,, I am now having trouble eating without throwing up. After I eat it becomes hard to breath and the food will not go all the way down,, or takes a long time to get to the stomach. My eyes are still very dry,, my skin just soaks up lotion. I did make another dr appt,, but cannot get in until the 19th of december,,

Sorry to hear about this latest development, I hope it doesn't last long. Meanwhile you have to be proactive about nutrition, even if it means going to a liquid diet with things like Ensure or Boost, to be sure you get enough nutrients.

Sometimes a warm soothing drink before a meal will relax the esophagus and allow easier swallowing and faster transit...things like peppermint or ginger tea are often good choices.

Linda took the words out of my fingertips! :D  All kidding aside, Linda's right, please do try the Ensure or the Boost to keep your body going until you can see the rheumy.  I know it's scary, but hang in there, okay?

Hummm, a warm drink, I'm going to have to try that myself the next time my throat gets dry.

Take care -
