Does a card exist that explains SJS in other languages?
I ask because it is not easy to explain in my half a dozen words of Spanish why I must take my bottle of water into their shop/museum/office.
If one does not exist do other members think it could be useful and what languages should be covered.
If members would be interested in buying the cards for a small fee plus postage it could be a good way for SJS world to raise funds, plastic cards (like a credit card) would be great but they are more expensive.
Anyone speak Spanish, French etc...

Hi Heather,
The Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation use to send you cards that you could carry with you.  I still have mine, but I don't think they send them out anymore.  Mine has come in handy many times when I try to take my water in the movie theater or as you say museum or playhouse to see a show.  It just states that I have Sjogren's Syndrome and must have water with me at all times.  It is signed my rheumy so it is really handy.

I don't know if it comes in foreign languages or not.  Sure would be nice for those of us who travel abroad.

Well - the Sjogren's bit would be the same whatever language because it's someone's name. Guess it's a case of what 'Syndrome' is in different languages.

If you have a medical Talisman many nationalities recognise that. It would be possible to point to the Talisman and the water and make a connection.

Take care - Scottie  :)
