I know quite a few people have have jobs that are managable with Sjogren's. I was curious what they are, and if your workplace has made any adjustments to accomidate you.

I work for an optical store. Not much salary but no pain. It really depends on whether you want to be comfortable vs make money. For me comfort one out.

I think a lot has to do with how Sjogrens has effected  you.   We all have different things that bother us as no two of us are alike.

Hi  :)

I work with kids doing 'alternative education'. I get to sit down a lot and work recognises that I can't spend lots of time outside with them. We can swap staff around when needed.

Take care - Scottie  :)

I work in state government as a business analyst/project manager and so far haven't had to request accomodations for Sjogren's, although they did encourage me to sign up for Family Medical Leave Act, which applies to any medical/dental/eye appointments I need due to SjS.

Hi Nathan,

I work in an office setting, and I do walk a ton and also sit a lot, so my body doesn't know if it's coming or going! ;D

Some days it's tough, the pain is almost unbearable, my vision blurres, but I still have to pay the bills.  In this economy, I'll have to work until I just can't do it any longer.

No, I've not had any changes made in the office for me - other than let me take more time off for appointments.

Although I no longer work, my office did several things to help me while I was still there.  There was two people in the office and they switched us around so I would not be under an air vent.  Another time, I requested the fluorescent lights above my desk be removed so I did not have so much glare from overhead.  Lucy
