:'( I unfortunately took a covid shot a bit after they were being given.  Now it comes out through an article that at least 21,000 people have joined an organization.  Example of why there is an organization both here and overseas is that the one shot can do you in.  Two doctors were used as examples.  Both could no longer practice and can still no longer practice.

This article was in the Wall Street Journal in Mid May.
The name of the article was "Officials Neglect Covid Vaccines' Side Effects"

I just learned from a friend who has another friend who has had Lupus for a long time.  That person asked her doctor about getting the covid vaccination.  The doctor recommended against the shot because he had two other patients, both of whom had RA, who died after getting the vaccination.

Hi  :)

I've had 3 shots, my husband has had 4. We've both had Covid - but not badly. Among my group of friends I know no people who have not had the shot. I have one old friend who got Covid way back at the beginning when shots were not available. Her lungs never recovered and she is permanently short of breath. The week before last she was diagnosed with heart failure. When I get the call for a 4th shot I will get it.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Never do tomorrow what you can put off till the day after tomorrow!

Scottie,
This was not written as take no vax.  It was written because I had no idea what the heck had happened to me. In my case my doc said no vax for me and I was too sick to be with my husband at the hospital for a cancer surgery.  He needed me there.  I have never had to let a relative stay in the hospital alone!
It is something that has not been even mentioned where I live or for the colleges that are here.  I always assume if I post something no one will act on what I say except to research it with their doc and do other research.  The vax warning was for people with autoimmune diseases.
Am very sorry for your friend.  You are aware that the vax can cause side effects that will not show until years after taking the vax.  Used to take about 20 years before a new med would be put on the market.

One more thing.  The type of reaction I am talking can mean you are sick about 1 to 2 minutes after taking the vax.

While I won't quote statistical information other than from my own country, the incidence of adverse reactions here looks about the same as the statistics reported to many other drugs, vaccines and other influences.

As of March of this year, maintained research from Health Canada and Public Health Agency of Canada (both federal), monitored by Provincial health agencies, independent Pharmacist and Physicians associations, and manufacturers(four different levels of supervision including 2 levels of government, health and business) these are the statistics in Canada:

Number of vaccines administered 97,587,702
Total adverse effects 54,569 (0.056%)
  *Total non-serious adverse effects 43,883 (0.045%)
*Total serious adverse effects 10,685 (0.011%)
Total number of death within 14 days of vaccination, with no co-morbidity or other identifiable cause 3
Approximate number of deaths attributed to COVID 28,000 (the number continues to increase daily)

Meanwhile an "Independent Reviewer" has posted a report that 100% of persons receiving any form of vaccine have had adverse effects, (mostly serious like stroke, heart attack and death), more than 5000 people have died from the vaccine alone, and no one who has refused the vaccine has caught the virus. (I was never questioned for this study, have received 5 doses of vaccine with no side effects, and lost a friend in their mid 30s to the virus before the vaccines were available,so therefore not vaccinated although technically not a "refusal",and don't know anyone personally who has had more than a few days of flu like symptoms or a sore arm from their shots,so my personal experience differs from Independent Reviewer but I don't speak for the entire country)

My rheumatologist and GP monitor my antibody titre levels to determine if I should have a booster, based on my measurable level of immunity.

I have tried to remain factual, but here is a bit of personal opinion: Unfortunately in this world of readily available information, with little monitoring or fact verification, we can read anything about anything, and it's something we have to monitor on our own as to what we give credence to.

We are all so different. I think having autoimmune issues , should be something a doctor should take into consideration with any new meds. Especially certain autoimmune issues and especially more than one. And of course, the individual's personal medical history.

I think what I and many noticed is that doctors were almost forbidden to even talk about such things. How horrid. How can this possibly be good for patients? The censorship surrounding this was disturbing. Plus there was and still is a weird twinge of politics.

I , having ITP, absolutely took note when a healthy doctor in Miami developed ITP symptoms three days after his first vaccine. It just doesn't get any weirder than this. And to top it off, no med worked for the guy and in spite of an all out effort to save him...he died. His autopsy said he died of "natural causes." He had zero platelets. This is not natural. And newspapers were quoting the Pfxxxx company asking their medical opinion on his death. Hello? Weird times a million.

To my horror, a friend of mine died of ITP and although im not 100 percent certain, it truly does look like it was vaccine related. Every two years she typically got a Rituxan tx to keep her platelets at a good level. But, with each vaccine..she needed a tx. So, the vaccine caused her to need her treatments much much sooner. So, they were now coming very frequent. After her booster shot, the Rituxan tx for some odd reason, didn't work anymore. She died a few months later.

A friend with Lupus developed heavy duty breathing problems with each shot. At some point she was determined to have myocarditis. After the booster, she was hospitalized for this and required heart surgery. I didn't think she was going to make it.

We are all different. I know a nice amount of people who took it and are ok.

But for the love of God I pray we never ever again censor doctors. And threaten concerned citizens with health problems etc. This was handled in a shameful way.

SLE, Sj.  Syndrome, IC, Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia, ITP (low platelets)... Various meds and lots of vitamins. Trying to eat healthy; seems to help a little.

While the comment about politicizing the pandemic is considered valid and a common refrain in the media, we urge our members to avoid discussions along these lines since they tend to bring out some very strong emotions and result in many complications we prefer to leave outside of our welcoming and supportive site.

From a purely medical standpoint, given a demographic membership of sufferers of unpredictable conditions often aggravated by stress, these types of discussions can actually be detrimental to health.

Please don't regard this as censorship, since our rules, to which each member has agreed, very clearly state avoidance of political and religious discussion.
