Confused

Seems a bit odd but is it normal to get a biologic for RA when you have only had the RA for less than a year?

How safe are the biologics and could someone please explain them to me?

Thanks

I would have to do a search on biologics to help explain them but I am wondering what your symptoms are and what your blood work is doing. Have you asked your doctor about this. I doubt that the length of time a person has had a disease plays as big a part as how the disease is affecting a person and how fast it is advancing. The goal is to prevent further damage of joints in RA. I am sure you will hear other people ideas and opinions concerning this. Good luck. meirish

They have a LOT of side effects. I would go by how advanced your case is, how much damage has been done to your joints.
