Dormant gene

Have any of you been hearing about the dormant gene in everyone that seems to be a link to mono, MS, and other autoimmune diseases?  My hubby has been keeping me informed.  It seems to be aa virus that occurs only with certain people, like us.  Interested to know if anyone else is following this.

I am wondering if you are speaking of Epstein Barr virus. This has been around for decades and many of us have antibodies showing that we have had this virus in the past. Keep us updated if you find more info. Thanks meirish
