Hi, everyone.  I am not sure I will be able to make chat again until after my cervical decompression and fusion of C2 through C7 on the 25th of April, but I would like to say a word about Chat Night.  For me, it has been a blessing.  When I was first diagnosed, I had no one to talk to about it.  I found this website shortly after and found that those on Chat were a big help in feeling I had a tribe.  I am experiencing a lot of fear around this surgery.  It is major and I will permanently be losing 70% of my neck mobility.  I will need to learn how to cook, drive, and other daily activities in a whole new way.  Not that this has to do with Sjogren's, but still, when I first brought it up to those on Chat Night, they surrounded me with hugs and love, and were very eager to help me find all the tools and equipment necessary to adapt to my new way of life.

If you have no one else around you that has Sjogren's, I suggest that you get on Chat (Thursday nights) and find your tribe.  To AD, Linda, Cheryl, Conf, I say thank you.  You are all a blessing to me.  Love and Hugs, Smama.

Thank you so much for those kind words, Judie. Even as a host, I get the same benefits from chat, so my gratitude is two fold, both as a host and a chatter! Hugs and prayers from all of your Thursday night buddies!

We will be live at 8 PM Eastern, just a bit less than half an hour! If you can't make it, Jodie, we understand, but you will be in our thoughts, from now until your surgery and after!

Wow, we appreciate all that, Judie, and are glad you are in our chat group. You add a lot to the conversations and we are always glad to see you. I get as much from chat as you do since people support one another.

You are in our thoughts and prayers for your upcoming surgery, and learning new ways to do things.

Love and Hugz

Thanks for sharing! I think I would like to try chat sometime as I don't know anyone with Sjogren's & have had a tough year!
I hope you are doing ok and that your surgery went well.
