Just came across this interesting piece of information. According to the study, Laser Photo Therapy (LPT) can improve salivation rates and dry mouth symptoms.

But three visits a week to the dentist for eight months sounds somewhat offputting

Hi Araminta,

In the short term it might seem like a bad pay off. But in the long run might be worth it.

God granting, I might still get to live another 30 years (or more?). If the cure is durable and could eliminate symptoms for the rest of my life, I would certainly consider it.

After suffering from 20+ years of pain and debilating side effects like tooth decay, root canal treatments, dried out mouth with spead up aging process & many other problems, 8 months doesn't seem so long. Besides, other effective methods are lacking, except for short term relief which only partially eliminates symptoms. There's not much to choose from currently and foreseeable future...

I agree with you Maria, the only thing that scares me is that this article from what I can see is written in 2009....if you could know more please share, thanks

I did not read the article but I would be very leery about this treatment. First of all, the article is written in 2009 as someone said. It is 2019 now and there is little if anything being pushed regarding this treatment.At least, I have been doing research for close to 20 years and I have not seen anything mentioned so far. Laser destroys tissue and I would be scared to death to have this done. Be nothing worse than having bad and good tissue destroyed. Sounds very experimental at this point. Good luck Irish
