Dry scalp treatment?

For dry skin i guess body lotion or Coconut oil helps.

What's good for dry scalp?

Be a bit careful with coconut oil on your skin, it's comedogenic, meaning I think that it's extremely well absorbed.   This can mean the pores get clogged if you overuse it, resulting in spots or folliculitis.

Not sure about dry scalp but maybe the occasional treatment with olive or almond oil might help?

Dry scalp is dry skin, so the basic concepts as with soaps are the same - avoid drying agents, shampoos/conditioners with alcohol, perfumes, etc.

I keep mine in check with regular use of a brand name shampoo/conditioner that's marketed for dry scalp.

I have this really bad and I have learned to avoid shampoo and conditioner without sulfates. Olive oil is good on the scalp and I have used the coconut oil that is in solid form. I have been battling with this for several years and it is really a bad problem.

I have had anemia for a long time and my doctor told me this is the cause of my dry hair and scalp. Good luck. Irish

Head and Shoulders Clinical Strength shampoo! It works wonders on my dry scalp. I even get dry skin inside the outer crease of my ears and I rub a little bit of it in there and it works great. I haven't been diagnosed, and I don't have dry skin as an issue, so it's possible it isn't for all types of dry scalp issues, but I would try it and see. It takes about one week to work.
