Broken molar!

Yeah, just what I needed - not! One of my molars broke today. It's been repaired a zillion times already. I still have what many people consider good teeth. Many of them are in need of action, I have missed a couple of dentist appointments... Just can't make myself go, because I'm so afraid of it :(

Am I crazy if I go and instead of having the molar repaired again, I'll have it pulled? It would be my first tooth to go. I also haven't had any root canal treatments (and will not, either...). I'm not interested in investing any more money or pain or fear on that stupid tooth again  >:(

Hi  :)

I only have the remains of 6 teeth now - and dentures. I would like to get rid of my remaining teeth but my dentist isn't keen on removing them. Guess he makes more money out of me if they remain in. I expect they will go one at a time like the others.

I no longer need a costume at Halloween - I just take the dentures out and smile.

Total empathy for you struggling with teeth. No help - but I do feel your pain!

Take care - Scottie  :)

Thanks, Scottie :)

I've kind of given up with my teeth. I mean what's the point, since they're going to be gone some day, anyway? Especially since I've always had bad teeth and my fear of dentists is just getting worse and worse. I think I'd be just happy with dentures - just the journey there makes me uneasy. So maybe they could fix my front teeth with me under anesthesia and just let the rest rot away :P Just that the infected teeth are easy to cause other problems way more serious...

I think to keep fixing my stupid teeth is not only a form of severe masochism but also equals throwing away loads of money - which I do not have.

Yeah, dentist not keen on removing the "perfectly good, fixable" (questionable!!!) teeth... stupid. Enfuriating. I'm sorry for your situation!

Today I had such sore throat with my ongoing cold and a migraine (thank you daughter dear, coming home yesterday with perfumes on  >:(  ) that I didn't even call the dentist. Remains to be seen if it happens tomorrow or not. It's way beyond easy for me :(
