Anyone else have this?  I am so tired of it with no answers.  Rheumy took xrays but that is not going to do any good.  Sending me back to my general doctor who is supposed to do an MRI, but will he?  It is questionable.

Sitting is not too bad but when I get up, I am stiff in the lower back and especially in the lower pelvic/pubic area with burning pain in the creese where the leg and torso meet (both sides).  Walking is really hard.  I think it might be arthritis (like in my neck) but I sure would love to feel not so alone in this thing!

I have been through a whole lot of pain in back and hips and into my groin over the past year and I ended up needing a spinal fusion in my cervical disks c4c5. It was such a surprise as I never had a headache or neckache but had lots of back pain and what I interpreted as shooting nerve pain that would almost take me to the ground.

I would see a neurologist and get as assessment as this might be something more than just a little backache that no one is taking seriously. I am also heading to have carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve surgery in both wrists but not at the same time. My nerves and tendons seem to be falling apart. This is the second time for carpal tunnel in both wrists.

Good lck and keep us posted on how things go for you. Irish

I agree with Irish, get to a neurologist and or ask your rheumatologist. I have very similar issues.   It can be caused by compressed or "pinched" nerves, or by inflammation.  Why can't your rheumy order an MRI?

press for a high field MRI if possible (will state a higher Tesla number with it, 4 T versus 1.5 T) this creates much higher definition imagery to help the radiologist see if anything is wrong.

PS-Look at stretches for Sciatica, this should help loosen you up.  Just get approval from your doctor before starting.
