Hello all,

I have been away for some time for an array of reasons, including having enjoyed many good months after having found several meds that helped enormously. Unfortunately I had to stop taking Gabapentin and now find that a number of symptoms that were issues have returned, one of which is a much higher level of fatigue.

I am becoming very tired by mid to late day and have had to stop what I am doing to rest. After cleaning yesterday morning I was wiped out, whereas while I was on Gabapentin I could have kept on going for hours longer.

I am grateful that so far I have not been in a great deal of pain (neither nerve or joint), but wonder if they will creep back in.
After months of feeling like my former self it's a grave disappointment to be sliding back down the rat hole of SjS again.

Can't say this to my husband, not because he wouldn't understand, but because he's lived through this with me since I got sick around the time we got married 10 years ago. He's been loving, supportive, kind, but also lost out on the life we thought we would have together. I just don't want to burden him anymore with how I feel about all of this.

Thanks for listening.

I hit the point of sever fatigue.I started to take Cistanchi (sp). It gave me energy to get through the day. With out it I am back in the hole.I still will get tired and require a couple of naps some days. I no longer sleep all day and all night.

I have read that there are brainwave entrainment frequencies that will help. I have yet to try them. But I am slowly working to that goal as it takes time to understand how they work. I have used entrainment in the past (early 1980's) for creativity, memory and focus and it worked well. My odyssey of the mind students became more creative and did better in school after 45 minute session with popular music and color cycling graphic images.

Nobody in my world understands just what we mean when we say extreme fatigue...they just think.."oh, she's just tired". Only those who are living it truly understand. I too have been dealing with a higher degree of exhaustion lately.  Wonder if the change in weather plays a part. Hang in there Sjogirl.

Sjo,

I don't know if you have tried the low dose Naltrexone yet? It has made a huge difference in my fatigue level. I was constantly needing to take short rests on my lawnchair cushion at work and throwing back energy drinks. Now I am functioning great without the need for rests/naps...most of the time. It has also helped my pain and mood.

Good luck!
