The roof of my mouth is so painful , puffy sore ridges and is so painful. Has anyone experienced this. My dentist said mucocitis and suggested Biotene rinses. I have been doing everything.. This is so very painful... I'm going to call tomorrow. Has anyone had this and gotten relief !

Thanks.....

Mine gets sore too, when it does I use biotene like crazy, buy the big bottle of mouth wash and put it in a small spray bottle., if u have any open sores try a warm salt water mix, also baking soda can help.

Whenever I get any kind of mouth sores, I take L-Lysine and B-12 supplements.  I swear I feel better after a couple of days.  I picked up that info here and it works.

In the beginning, my mouth was so dry that the skin peeled on the roof of my mouth.  Hang in there.  With treatment, it will get better.  You will find what works well for you.  Also, I have tried using vitamin E from capsules.  I puncture the liquid capsule with a sterile needle and coat the inside of my mouth with the liquid vitamin E.

Also, mint free Xylomelts work to keep your mouth moist at night.  I use two per night.  I do recommend the mint free because the other can be irritating to fragile tissue.

Good luck.
