Th1/Th2 Blood Test

Hi,
Has anyone or (or know someone that )had a blood test to measure the Th1 & Th2 cytokines? I am particularly interested if you are seronegative.

I have read research to show that it is common for levels to be elevated in SS but my rheumatologist says the blood test is not relevant and doesn't offer it anyway. I understand the blood test is non specific but to say it is irrelevant is a bit confusing.

I am just starting to learn about immunology and it is insanely complex. Any info much appreciated.

Still trying to get more info. The next step is that I will ask a rheumatologist online.

The Cytokine profile blood test may possibly guide you to the possible cause of any underlying inflammation however we would always recommend that it is requested in conjunction with clinical history taking/physical assessment by an expert in that field - i.e. an immunologist.
