Salivary Glands....back to life!

I suffered sialadenitis for 5 years before I was diagnosed.  After dx I went back to the ENT who had treated me to give him the info on the dx.  He had dilated one parotid at one time during that ordeal but had never commented as to the condition of the three pair of glands.  I was surprised AFTER SjS dx he did pressure testing ..and announced all but one of the 6 were hardened.  I had no reason not to believe him.  So I go along about two years (with only periodic attacks of the right parotid every few months) and all of a sudden my left parotid started giving me grief.  It doesn't happen often...maybe twice a year.  So..I guess I am always suffering one or the other every two to three months.

THEN today something exciting has happened.  I have NEVER had sialadenitis anywhere but the parotids and I have it right now in one of my sub mandibulars.  I am so excited.  This means I have THREE of these rascals working or trying to work.  My oral cavity does not seem anymore lubricated...but I am hoping it may be soon!

Have any of you ever had any of your salivaries begin working again?  I have to say overall my SjS stuff has been on the back burner in my life for the last 9 months.  I can't believe it.

Please let me know. Yippee!

Mine did for a while after playing dry mouth and mumps tones. Then they quit. Later, I popped a stone that was a quarter of an inch diameter. They started to work for a bit and then quit. My glands were really sore on the one side before that came out.

Good luck! I hope your will produce again.
