I have been so tired for the past few weeks. No matter how much sleep I get I'm still tired. I know it's a flare from my allergies. My head is killing me and everything attached to it - ears, mouth, neck, throat. I'm sensitive to certain noise pitches.

I feel like a hot mess.

Has anyone had problems almost falling asleep at work? One minute you're typing along, the next you realize your eyes are closed?

Oh loulou1981,

I keep a lawn chair cushion behind my desk for when I need to lay down. We own the business, so I won't fire myself. But I seriously am so fatigued all of the time...I feel like my head is just going to
drop. Energy drinks only help a small bit and sometimes not at all. It is one of my most bothersome symptoms and the symptom that I cannot find any great relief from.

Hope yours is better soon.

I totally understand!  I definitely have to be careful while driving!

My Rheumy asked me what my major symptoms are that really affect me and
#1 is fatigue.  Because of this he thinks Benlysta (first Lupus drug approved in over 50 years) will help with the overall fatigue. I am in the process of researching and getting insurance approval/ program approval to pay for it since it is extremely expensive.

I know what you mean cause I have been plagued with fatigue just terribly the past months. Worse than ever before. I am going to mention this to you just in case-----I was on Lexapro at one time and had to quit it as it made me so sleepy that I almost had a car accident.

I was on the lowest dosage and still felt so stoned. Doc and I were just trying another med to see how I would do. I went back to my Zoloft which helps with depression (serotonin level) and with the anxiety and do much better. Good luck. Irish

I use to work with teens and they swore that chewing peppermint gum helped them while overtired and in the classroom. I actually do find chewing peppermint gum rather refreshing.

I find drinking lots and lots of cool water energy giving. You might not notice it right away, but eventually it shows up in energy levels.

When I'm really under the gun and way overtired, I drink an Expresso Coffee. It usually works. When it doesn't, I feel almost frightened.

I find my vitamins somewhat helpful...a good multi, d3, b complex and a little extra B12. Plus, a really good quality water. I take one mg of melatonin at night.

I hope you feel better soon. Fatigue is a horrible feeling.
SLE, Sj.  Syndrome, IC, Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia, ITP (low platelets)... Various meds and lots of vitamins. Trying to eat healthy; seems to help a little.
