Stressful Time Ahead

:(The job where I had worked FT for six years was reduced to half time about a year ago. I took a second halftime job and have found balancing the two to be quite stressful. I decided that it was time to leave one of the jobs and had planned to resign from one of the jobs this week.

Tonight I called my only living sibling, who has been ill for several months, and learned she has a mass and they suspect it is cancerous. While her partner is optimistic the news is both surprising and unsettling.

I've been blessed to have enjoyed a long period of calm, this is a lot to take in. Just needed to vent and ask for support and prayers.

Thanks.

So sorry to hear this news. Hopefully there will be some good news with this as time goes on. I hope that you are able to get enough rest as this illness plays out. It is so hard on people with autoimmune disease to have to deal with outside stress like this. Runs our bodies down. I will say some prayers and please keep us updated with this. Hugs. Irish

So sorry to hear your news, I will be thinking about you and your sister.   As Irish says, it's hard to have these extra stresses when you are already dealing with an ongoing problem.  Look after yourself.
Dry eyes (MGD), nose, mouth, occasional labyrinthitis,  dry skin , mouth ulcers, constant but fluctuating fatigue, IBS.  Blood tests and Schirmers negative,no Sjogrens dx yet.   Omega 3 algal oil, multivitamins, Evolve eye drops, Xailin eye ointment,  moisturiser (Instituto Espanol 10% urea).

Sjogirl,

I am so sorry!  We are dealing with my husband's relatively new diagnoses of aggressive prostate cancer, and so I think I kind of know what you may be experiencing.  I am so sorry.  😞

I'm also sorry about you having to give up one of your part time jobs, but this may be a blessing in terms of reduced stress.  I know I would not be able to keep up with a full time job anymore.  I'm just glad I can handle working PRN.

Be extra good to yourself and try to find extra rest and peace.  My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours.

Thanks all. Today one of my stepdaughters was in the ER for a possible kidney infection. When it rains it pours.
