Hey Guys

Some of you old timers (said with much love) know me as the pud of old. I have returned and so it may appear has my friend Master Sjoggie. For those that don't know me I was an active member on the boards about 7 years ago and one time brief mod. My symptoms seemed to go into remission and I have enjoyed a number of symptom free years. It appears though that things might be ramping up again. In the last few weeks my eyes have been getting very dry to the point where they are very stinging and needing drops a few times a day. I'm also having some other symptoms which are currently under investigation that may or may not be sjogren's related. I have moderate hearing loss in my right ear from otosclerosis and very strong tinnitus (there is a strong family history of this so not convinced this is related). I also have an issue where every 2 weeks my knees become very sore, fill with fluid and get warm to touch. I have just had an aspiration of the fluid and a cortisone injeciton yesterday and we are waiting for the fluid results to come in to see what it might be. So far its all looking very inflammatory.

Anyhoo I just wanted to touch base and say hi and hope everyone is as well as can be in their own realm of wellness

Well, well, well . . . looky who's back!!!   ;D ;D  Welcome back "old" friend from across the pond!!!  We've missed you around the water cooler sharing all your words of wisdom and other tidbits of info.

Sorry to hear you are having issues again.  Hopefully, the docs can give you some answers and some treatments to help you.

It's nice when old timers come back to the fold.

Take care,
Bucky

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

SunshineDaydream. I'm not 100% sure what  put me in remission before, it may have been the combo of Plaquenil and Pred. Possibly changing my job to a less stressful physically job still in the same field (nursing). The same with setting things off this time. I'm not sure. The only thing I know that has changed is that i'm trying to be a bit healthy now and going to the gym regularly. I know my knees started acting up once i got more active. I hope it's not the level of exercise im doing because i really love going to the gym. I will wait and See what happens.

BUcky "old" friend. So good to see you. You know that topic? Yeah well my dodgy memory has no idea. You'll have to refresh me. Either here or PM me. Sorry mate. The memory is as bad as ever.
